About HDSA Centers of Excellence

The HDSA Centers of Excellence provide an elite team approach to Huntington’s disease care and research. Patients benefit from expert neurologists, psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, counselors and other professionals who have extensive experience working with families affected by HD and who work collaboratively to help families plan the best HD care program throughout the course of the disease. Applications to become an HDSA Center of Excellence are open to all clinics in the United States who share HDSA’s commitment to high-quality, comprehensive care and access to clinical research. There are currently 54 HDSA Centers of Excellence covering 35 States plus the District of Columbia.

HDSA is now accepting Letters of Interest for 2022 Centers of Excellence. This year, HDSA will be accepting LOIs from current HDSA Centers of Excellence that are seeking re-designation for 2022 and clinics that were not HDSA Centers of Excellence in 2021 and are located more than 250 miles from an existing Center of Excellence. Click here to search a map of existing Centers of Excellence.

To learn more and complete the online Letter of Interest, visit https://hdsacentersofexcellence.secure-platform.com/a, or review the program description here.

The deadline for submitting a Letter of Interest is September 13th, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. EDT. Those who meet the minimum requirements will be invited to submit a full application. Applications will be due November 29th, 2021 at 5pm EST. Grants will be awarded in February 2022 and are retroactive to January 1st, 2022.
