Summer Research Recap
This summer was full of ups and downs in HD research. Following a research webinar in August that recapped challenging clinical trials news the HD community received from uniQure and Novartis this summer, September’s research webinars held exciting updates from Picnic Health and Sage Therapeutics on the power of electronic medical records for fueling HD research, as well as from Prilenia on their phase 3 trial of pridopidine, PROOF-HD. You can find these webinars on HDSA’s YouTube channel, as well as other research content like HDSA’s “Quick Question” series, the latest episode of which highlighted HDSA’s clinical trials matching database, HD Trialfinder. All of these recordings and more HD content can be viewed on HDSA’s YouTube channel, here.
Editors of HDBuzz talk research with Help4HD
Earlier this month, HD scientists and HDBuzz editors, Drs. Jeff Carroll and Sarah Hernandez, joined Help4HD host Lauren Holder for a discussion on HD research. The topic on the agenda was how HD affects the whole body outside of just neurons in the brain. To hear more from the experts on how other cells in the brain contribute to HD, how organs outside of the brain may be affected by HD, and other hot topics in HD research, listen to the full episode here.
