Huntington’s Disease Society of America Welcomes David Ticker as Chief Financial Officer

New York, NY — February 4, 2026 — The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) is pleased to announce that David Ticker has joined the organization as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective January 23, 2026.

David brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience to HDSA, including 17 years at the American Liver Foundation, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In that role, David provided executive oversight across finance and operations and worked closely to support the organization’s chapter and affiliate leaders.

Throughout his career, David has built a strong reputation for advancing nonprofit organizations through operational rigor, financial stewardship, and modernization. His experience aligns well with HDSA’s strategic priorities around growth and modernization, helping ensure the organization’s infrastructure supports both near-term needs and long-term mission impact. He is Wharton-educated and brings a deep, genuine passion for the families HDSA serves.

“David is a seasoned nonprofit finance and operations leader who brings deep expertise and a thoughtful, mission-driven approach to this work,” said Amy Gray, President & CEO of HDSA. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to HDSA and look forward to the leadership and perspective he will bring as we continue to grow, modernize, and strengthen our organization in service of the Huntington’s disease community.”

“I’m honored to join HDSA at such an important moment for the organization and the Huntington’s disease community,” said David Ticker, Chief Financial Officer of HDSA. “HDSA’s mission is deeply meaningful, and I’m excited to partner with the team and work to strengthen the organization’s financial and operational foundation so we can continue expanding support, advancing research, and driving advocacy for families nationwide.”
