Nicolas and Ruby, sophomores at Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, have transformed a class project on rare diseases into an inspiring mission to support the HD community. Their contributions in advocacy, outreach, and volunteerism have been truly remarkable:
- Advocacy: They have actively engaged in local and state advocacy initiatives, raising awareness about HD and advocating for increased funding for research and support services.
- Community Outreach: Nicolas and Ruby have organized and participated in community events, launched grassroots fundraisers, and harnessed social media to educate the public about HD and connect with families impacted by the disease.
- Volunteer Services: From assisting with chapter programs and events to coordinating volunteer activities for the upcoming Miami Team Hope Walk & 5K, they’ve been instrumental in strengthening the HD community.
