Family Communication and Coping Strategies in Families with Huntington’s Disease

Hello, my name is Amanda Schatzle and I am a graduate student in the Genetic Counseling Program at Arcadia University.  This study is about identifying coping strategies utilized by individuals who are symptomatic or pre-symptomatic for Huntington’s Disease and studying the communication of information about Huntington’s Disease risk between those individuals and their siblings and children.  Participants will be asked to complete an anonymous self-administered survey. 

To be eligible to participate, you must be over the age of 18, have received positive genetic testing for Huntington’s Disease and/or been diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease by a neurologist, and have at least one biological sibling or child.  The questions on this survey may be of a sensitive nature.  However, you can skip any questions that you do not want to answer.

STUDY TIME: 20 to 30 minutes
