Dear Friend,

I want to take a moment and thank you for making the time to support the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Because we value your voice, we need your help as we continue to try and meet your needs in the work that we do.

As many of you know, the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) follows a Strategic Plan to guide the mission and operations of the organization.  Led by the HDSA Board of Trustees, the current plan will expire in 2016 and efforts are already underway to set HDSA’s goals starting in 2017.

Please be a part of this process by participating in a brief online survey before September 10, 2015 to share your personal perspective on which of HDSA’s programs are most important to you and let us know what else you would like the Society to be doing.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes for you to complete.  Participation is anonymous, and it is limited to one response per participant.  The results of this survey will be used by the Strategic Planning Committee, chaired by Dr. Arik Johnson, Chair-Elect of the Board of Trustees, to help them develop HDSA’s long-term directions.

We encourage you to share this broadly with your HD community and family so that we can secure the maximum participation and therefore accumulate the most representative results.  For those who may not have home computers, please encourage them to visit their local library to use community internet access.

Everyone’s feedback is important and this is certainly not the only way to participate in shaping HDSA’s future.  Following this survey, there will be focus group opportunities for Chapter and Affiliate leadership, as well as follow-up surveys and an open call for feedback on a new draft of the plan in 2016.  We value your participation and look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you in advance for participating in this survey and for caring enough to help us shape the future of our Society.  We appreciate your dedication and commitment and look forward to touching more lives through the important work of HDSA.

Thank you,
Louise Vetter
Chief Executive Officer
