In 2014, HDSA announced a new phase of the HDSA Center of Excellence program. This involved a re-structuring of the grant process to enable us to meet our goals of increasing the Society’s capacity to support outstanding multi-disciplinary HD care centers across the United States while expanding access to expert HD care in underserved areas.
Today, we are excited to announce that we are now accepting Letters of Interest (LOI) from all HD clinics across the country interested in being considered as an HDSA Center of Excellence (COE). Details about the program can be found in the 2016 Program Description by clicking here. HD Clinics around the country are invited to complete an online LOI by going to www.hdsa.org/16COELOI. All LOIs are due by 11:59 p.m. EDT on September 25, 2015. Eligible prospective Centers will be invited by HDSA to submit a written application for review by the HDSA Center Programs Education and Advisory Committee (CPEAC). These applications will be due by December 11, 2015. We expect to notify all applicants of their status by February 1, 2016.
We hope you all share in our excitement in our vision of the HDSA’s Centers of Excellence, and we look forward to new opportunities to expand access to care for families affected by Huntington’s disease across our country.
